Common Causes of Back Pain in Americans

Current Americans have a sedentary lifestyle because of white collar jobs, Internet social networks and TVs. People drive to work every day in the morning, they sit on desks in front of computers the whole day and then drive back home and sit in front of the TV until they are sleepy. The next day is the same cycle which leaves little time for exercise. Many companies in the US where the middle class population works have incorporated the use of computers in the office. People sit on desks for long hours during the day making the muscles on people’s back to slack hence incapable of sustaining the weight of the body. This causes back pains in many Americans with good jobs in the office.

A good number of Americans work in manual labor which involves heavy lifting. People will experience back pain when they lift heavy object or try to move these items on a daily basis. Stress is caused by a lot of factors in the contemporary society. Unemployment, stressful working conditions, low income and higher expenses and broken relationships cause a lot of daily stress. When a person is tense, it causes tightening of the upper back muscles forming knots under the skin that causes back pain. Sleeping on saggy mattress will injure your back. This causes tension on muscles hence pulling them out of place and causing back pain.
